About Doug Moseley
Born 1949
Commenced Blacksmithing 1980
Inspiration was Meeting and Working with
Geoff Barnes ( Adelaide SA, 1980)
Attended Panorama Technical College, Adelaide SA.
Doug Moved to NSW, where he operated The Smithy at
Historic Timbertown at Wauchope NSW for 6 years.
After being in the public eye, his next forge was on the edge
of a forest at Bonny Hills on the Mid north coast of NSW.
Here the connection with the Artist Blacksmith Association of
New South Wales was forged. A change of workshop venues finally led to:
The Blacksmiths Lodge, Port Macquarie NSW,
a combined working smithy and gallery.
Doug now works from home, and travels to teach
and demonstrate his art of smithing.
Venues this year include Highfields Qld,
Stanthorpe Qld, Melbourne Vic.
